In 1993, state legislation created the Connecticut State Employees Charitable Campaign for Charitable Giving (CSEC). The CSEC is a statewide annual effort that allows employees/retirees the opportunity to support many of their favorite charities through payroll deduction, or a one-time gift donation. From the start of the CSEC, state workers have contributed millions of dollars that directly benefited local and national charitable organizations. It is through the generosity of several state employees/retirees that people are receiving the vital services needed to improve their quality of life.
Charities eligible under the CSEC campaign provide health and human services, environmental programs, human rights, educational programs for children, as well as programs for the elderly. Each approved charity meets specific standards that have been reviewed by members of the CSEC committee, so you can be confident that your contribution will be distributed to the organization of your choice.
As funding for social programs continues to be cut our contributions become even more essential to supporting services for those in need. Please give as generously as you can, remembering all contributions will make a difference in someone’s life. You can designate your contribution to any one or more of the nearly 700 charities listed in this directory, or on the campaign’s website at www.csec2018.uwhartford.stratuslive.com.
Thank you for your support.
